Wes Kennedy was one of the most remarkable people to inhabit Denver and Colorado's art world. I almost said "character" because to me he was that. He was someone I loved and a person whose growth as an artist I watched with a combination of fascination and envy through the second half of the 80s and into the 90s. I even wrote an academic paper called "Wes Kennedy as a Work of Art." Sadly he is gone, and these images represent my last chance to see him alive..
